Answers to the questions patients most often ask about our walk-in clinic.

Our clinic is located in Markham, Ontario, at 3603 Highway 7 East, Unit 101.
Do you offer virtual care services?
GTA Med Clinic has transitioned to a walk-in clinic and does not currently offer virtual or telemedicine services.
Physicians provide family medicine and primary care for common needs, including:
- Answers to specific health questions
- Lab requisitions and specialist referrals
- Prescription renewals with free delivery
- Doctors notes for work or school ($30 fee applicable)
Do you offer medical emergency services?
No. If you believe you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or proceed to your nearest emergency room.
Are your care services covered by OHIP?
Yes. Care services are covered under OHIP for Ontarians with a valid Ontario health card. Registration requires your OHIP number and version code.
Are your physicians licensed?
Yes. GTA Med Clinic physicians are licensed doctors registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
Is my personal information protected?
Yes. Services offered by GTA Med Clinic are PHIPA compliant.
The Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) provides rules for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal health information in Ontario and gives individuals greater control over that information.
How long does it take for prescription deliveries?
Prescription renewals include free home delivery. Deliveries within the GTA are made the same day; deliveries outside the GTA are made within one business day.
Do you provide doctors notes for missed school or work?
Yes. Doctors notes are available, but they are not covered by OHIP and an additional $30 fee applies.
What languages do you offer your services in?
At this time, care services are available in English only.
